For everyone not only in the United States but around the world Covid-19 has touched their life in some form or fashion. Whether it's as simple as how you go about your daily life to losing a friend or loved one. We are all in this together and have grown and adapted in ways that we never imagined possible.
That is where we come in. In the early days of the pandemic life was pretty dull. Outside of being excited to just find toilet paper there wasn't a lot to do. About 3 weeks into the lockdown Paul had enough of isolation and doing nothing. So he text AJ and JC "Steaks, Bourbon, Firepit" to which he got an emphatic "HELL YES" from both of them. That first night is where it all started and was hours and hours of laughter, food, cigars and of course Bourbon.
As The lockdown eased and more people began to hang out again our circle of entertainment grew as it were. We just kept doing the same thing the three of us had been doing with just more people around. Over the next several weeks our friends kept encouraging us to do a podcast. Well, we listened and this ride that we have been on since then has been incredible.
As the podcast saw rapid success and life got back to normal. Things with Bourbon With Friends inevitably changed with it. As AJ and JC phased out of the show due to more demands in their professional lives. Connor came into the picture. Connor was a friend of the show and an organic and exact fit to take Bourbon With Friends forward.
After several months Paul and Connor set up a nationwide search for the third member of the team. Chanda was one of more than 30 applicants to throw their name in the hate. After a six-week vetting process, she joined the team as a regular member.
Recently, we have added Breagh. She is from Islay in Scotland and we met her on our Tour Of Scotland. Breagh will bring blogs and reviews to the BWF content that we have been lacking due to time and let's face it. Lack of creativity lol.
We believe that bourbon is for everyone. Regardless, of race, color, religion, creed or sex. It is the great equalizer of our society and no bottle should sit on a shelf and collect dust. We believe that over priced bottles and those who collect and hoard bourbon isn't what bourbon is founded on. Bourbon was created hundreds of years ago by farmers who needed to do something with their access corn. George Washington is one of the first distillers in the nation. You can't get much more American than that!
